O Great Pumpkin

I guess Katie's been really anxious to get our pumpkin carved.  She's been asking if we can carve it and finally mom suggested that she could do it.  Katie was a little worried about that, so I decided I'd go help her out.

Shredded pumpkin guts or pumpkin spaghetti??

Using a sharpie to trace the design onto the pumpkin.  We'd found a Dig those Decades - Retro pumpkin carving pattern book recently from Hobby Lobby with patterns we LOVED: Skelvis, a Marilyn Monroe-style witch, a peace sign using bones, Stayin' Undead (that one's funny!) and more, including the design we chose: Chilling Lava.
